This is a sample of my complete order of operations puzzles set and includes 5 puzzles free!

Each puzzle includes an equation with some of the number missing. Students must use logical reasoning and be sure to follow order of operations in order to figure out which numbers will make the equation true.

Each puzzle in this sample has exactly one solution. If you’re looking for more of a challenge, you might like the complete puzzle set, which includes puzzles that have multiple possible solutions.

These are great for kids in 5th or 6th grade who need a fun and engaging review of order of operations. Use these as a whole class warm-up, review activity, early finisher challenge or in small groups.

What’s Included in the Download:

This sample includes 5 puzzles to use in Google Slides. In the download you will find:

  • Access link to the digital, interactive puzzles for Google Slides (to solve, kids can drag and drop numbers into the missing spaces). These slides include one puzzle per slide.
  • Directions for accessing the digital slides as well as assigning the slides in Google Classroom

How to Use the Puzzles:

To complete the digital puzzles, students click on the number tiles on the bottom of each slide and drag them into the appropriate places in the equation:
