Ideas for Using The Crossword Puzzles:

Obviously, you can print these as quick and easy independent practice, but here are some other ideas for making it fun and collaborative!

• Work with a partner: have one student answer the “across” problems and have the other student answer the “down” problems and then check if they fit in the puzzle
• Whole Class Challenge: Let students race to see who can correctly complete the puzzle first (must include showing their work and all answers correct so they don’t rush or guess!)
• Extra Credit Practice: Do your kids need an extra grade or a little boost at the end of the year? This would be a fun way to provide needed practice and also provide some extra credit on their grade
• Math Center: Print all puzzles and let kids choose one when they get to this math center
• Low-Prep Review: Want something easy for kids to do over the break to keep up their math skills? Print 1-2 puzzles and send them home so kids have something to work on over the school break
