Do your kids struggle with finding the greatest common factor of a set of numbers? Try giving them problems with a real world context using these interactive google slides!

By having a context for problem solving, 6th grade students will apply greatest common factor in a way that will help them better understand.

Each problem is broken into 2 parts. First, students determine the greatest number of fruit baskets Dan can create with the given amounts of exotic fruit. They drag and drop the baskets to help them solve:

In the next problem, they determine how many of each type of fruit he can put in each of his baskets.

There are 20 questions altogether, which gradually increase in difficulty and include finding the greatest common factor of a set of 2 numbers as well as a set of 3 numbers.
